Yes Hacking CAN BE Black Hat SEO

by David Curtis on July 26, 2010

I’m a fan of SEO Bullshit but after reading Hacking is not Black Hat SEO Dumbass! it suddenly dawned on me that even though the example given wasn’t black hat SEO hacking, hacking CAN BE used for SEO. So here’s my argument, in a nutshell (NOTE: It had been deleted [twice] which prompted me to post it here – after posting here I checked my link to it and it had been un-spammed [it was approved] on SEOBullshit after I tweeted it on Twitter – but since I took the time to write this post here, and add a photo, I’m leaving it):

Here’s how hacking can become black hat SEO. Hack 20 fairly high ranking web sites in a niche. Embed / Insert relevantly keyword rich text links within the content of those sites (if the phrase used on the page is “small business seo” and that’s what you’re after, link it to a page in your site). Do this with all 20 sites. Now you have used hacking to perform black hat SEO. Voila.
